"Teachers make the best creators!"

I wholeheartedly believe that is true! If you have taught in a classroom, you know the term "teacher" includes an enormous amount of responsibilities. Teachers create all sorts of things. We have to think about learning environments, seating arrangements, the decor we use to hang on our walls, and daily routines. AND, that's just to name a few.

Over the years, the one word that I have constantly talked about with my students is "PASSION." It is the driving force for all of us in everything we choose to pursue in our lives. Usually the things we spend most of our time on are what we are passionate about. Our passion is the guiding force as we navigate through life.

However, I find it ironic in a sense. Because when it comes to the teaching profession... If you are not passionate about teaching, it will be incredibly difficult to enjoy your career. Whenever I have that discussion about "passion" with my students, I can't help but think about how important my own passion for my job is. It is a tiring job, but those who are passionate enough will reap the rewards from it. The job will always test you on how well you can adapt and it will test your creative abilities. This is why I mean it when I say, "teachers make the best creators." We have to constantly create ways to reach our students not just academically, but in all phases of life!

I believe that creativity and passion moves the world forward. As teachers, it's our job to help our students think on their own, and try to be unique and original. As they grow and develop, we want them to listen and gain perspective from others. I want students to bring their interests and passions into the classroom. It should be a part of how they learn. If I can use a student’s passion for art, or cooking, or dance, and somehow incorporate it into a history classroom, then everyone wins and learns! A creative and collaborative classroom is a growing classroom!

It’s amazing to reflect on it all, and where I am now on my journey through education. When I first started teaching, I loved making my own resources to use in the classroom. I had the chance to be creative and let my thoughts come to life. It's amazing to have my own Teachers Pay Teachers store, where I can help other educators bring creativity into their own classrooms. With over 1000+ resources, I have reached thousands of teachers all throughout the world. I have also been inspired by so many other ideas. That's what makes education so wonderful to me. Ideas continue to spread and evolve from one classroom to the next.

I am so proud to be a part of the world of education. I hope any other teachers reading this also feel the same way! In the ever changing and challenging world we live in, just remember: Teachers are always helping the world move forward.

It’s true- Teachers make the best creators!
